Myself and my son Merlin are trying to raise as much money as possible, to fund a powered wheelchair for him.

Merlin needs a powered wheelchair to give him independence primarily for going to college and other places he visits. This will help Merlin a lot, because at the moment he has to be pushed in his manual wheelchair by myself and as a 16year old this is obviously annoying for him!

Merlin has a disability called MPS 2 (Hunters) and this means that his mobility is affected, at the moment Merlin can still walk, however this is something that is progressive.

Merlin would like to be able to do things others do, like go to the shops, college and other places in the local area. As Merlin is shorter than other young people his age, he would like to be able to talk to them at the same level, therefore his wheelchair will help with this as the one he has selected has a lift which enables him to choose what height he sits at.
