Hello All, So as most of you know, I have been very unfortunate to be diagnosed with a very nasty brain tumor in November. I have undergone a lot of radiotherapy treatment since then and a little bit of chemo - but had to stop that because it was causing more harm than good. This leaves limited treatment options for me now and some of my symptoms have escalated a lot, making it difficult to get around. There is lots of equipment we can use to help with that but it is all very expensive and mostly not covered by insurance (don’t get me started on insurance companies!!!!) For example: Chair lift $4000+ Adjustable bed $2000+ Adjustable chair $1000+ Multiple Handrails $1000+ Other upgrades- $2000 Trips with accessibility - $$$$+++++ That's $10,000 as the minimum starting point in extra as well as all the day-to-day extras and a large shortfall in the monthly mortgage coverage due to the tiny fine print by the mortgage insurance company. Thus much as it pains us, here we are asking for a little help with expenses so that we can make the house safer to get around every day.
