My name is Karlene. I currently have stage 4 kidney failure. I finally got the call I been waiting for today 1/10/25. A kidney is available for me. I am currently in the hospital awaiting surgery in the morning. I have a job; however, short term disability has a processed that takes extremely long to pay you. I need help to maintain while I recover. People always see me and say you don’t look sick. I be saying to myself why do a sick person always have to look sick. I wake up every morning grateful and blessed to see another day, so I get up and put myself together no matter how bad I feel because I am beyond grateful to be on this earth with my daughter, granddaughter and family another day. Anyone who knows me know I don’t do stuff like this but I prayed and prayed and decided to go through with it. I would like to thank everyone in advance for anything that they are able to donate to me while I recover from surgery.
