To Leave With Memories

Hi,

My name is Skye and I have been recently diagnosed with stage 4 bowel cancer, with my treatment being palliative in nature. The treatment I am being given encompasses chemotherapy, surgery and radiotherapy, and even with this, my prognosis is an average of 26 months. I am looking to raise funds to give me a chance to leave this world with memories for myself and my family, as my eldest hits 18, and we are about to celebrate my youngest first Christmas, before looking to marry my loving partner next year.

Getting such a diagnosis can really set straight the things you find important in life, and how you my have taken things for granted in the past, with time being not quite as finite as it is now. Getting extra funds to help live some happier times during a very difficult period would mean the world to me and my family as we set about adjusting to a while new world and future.

The funds raised would be for simply things really, little trips, family activities, giving us memories to take away and remember fondly. Financing a first Christmas, an 18th birthday and a wedding is proving to be a struggle with my current health and extra funds for this, and other general life enjoyments would make this much easier.

Of course, there are no expectations. Any help would be nice, no matter how small, but if this time has taught me anything, it's to look out for those closest to you first and foremost, so please, if you do feel like you want to help, do so knowing that it wouldn't put you in a similar situation should you receive the news I have. If you can, however, myself and my family thank you from the bottom of our hearts for giving us the chance to say our goodbyes having spent the best time together that we can.
