My father, Ivan Jorge Sr, took his last breath in the early morning hours of September 25, 2025. Pops as I always called him was 82 years old. This last year of his life he went through sol much with his health and went through a few hospital and rehab stints to be able to walk again on his own. His goal was to come back home from his latest rehab stint but he never made it back home. Instead he went on to heaven and joined god and many other loss family members who have moved on. Pops was a loving father and grand father to myself, Ivan Jr,, his step kids, Steve and Carmen, and all of his grandchildren, step grandchildren and his fur babies grand children. He was always there to help out and to do what he can to whoever in the family needed his assistance in anyway he can provide. Pops was more than a father to me. He was also one of my best friends and partner for all our Mets games that we went too. My love and passion for the Mets came to me because of my dad as he had the same passion and love for his beloved team. I will cherish all of the memories at the game and us even watching them together from home., I am sure he will be cheering them on from heaven above now. We also had fun vacations together as well. Pops will be missed by all who knew him and loved him. He was indeed a one of a kind man. You may not find another one like him.

So we would like to do right by him and give him the proper farewell that he deserved. To do that, we need as much help as possible as we lay him to rest and bid him farewell for now until we all meet again in the distant future. So please give what you can as we would need this more than we will need flowers.
