To honor baby Collin John Hill

Baby Collin was born August 17th to his birth mother in a restroom at 7 months along instead of a hospital and he sadly passed away. His system was full of heavy street drugs and he was much smaller than he should have been at his gestation. As the adoptive parents of his biological brother we were notified by cps of his tragic passing. After speaking to the coroner’s office, we found out he was left abandoned and would be buried in their county grave with no name unless he was claimed. We also found out he was born healthy and did breathe. He would have been placed with us had he lived so we knew immediately we wanted to claim him as our own and give him the respect and love he deserves with a proper burial.

We have 6 other kids at home (also all adopted) and did not plan for this unexpected tragedy or expense. We are working with Jackson Turrentine and Morrow funeral home in Celina, Texas. They gave us discounted services but we do need to pay in full before the funeral. We have been asked by several people if they can donate to help give baby Collin the burial he deserves. ALL proceeds will go to the funeral home. If there’s an overage, it will go to Collin’s big brother Dallas. ❤️ We will keep everyone posted on a date. So far, the coroner’s office is getting an emergency court order to file for body abandonment and make it legal for us to take custody of the baby for burial. He cannot be cremated because of the possible criminal case and because of the legalities of the birth mother not claiming him. It looks like he will be released to the funeral home in about two days.

These are bare minimum estimated costs:

$100: the viewing, graveside service, all transportation and proper care of the baby

$300: Set up at the site with chairs and tent

$500: infant casket

$1000: one time cost of space at the cemetery

$1500 headstone park

We are SO grateful for our friends, some family and our amazing community for the love y’all have expressed for baby Collin. Y’all have showered us with support about is stepping up to claim Baby Collin as our own. He IS loved and he IS wanted. We will all ban together to make sure this baby is honored as the sweet spirit of our Heavenly Father that he is. This is also an act of love for Dallas to show him as he gets older that so many people came together to do what’s right for his baby brother. Thank y’all!!!

Collin: (born and passed in Collin County)

John: named after a great guy named John Fischer who recently passed away. He was the loving Papi to many grandchildren who were not biologically connected but connected to him by love, responsibility and God. He was a great example that love is not about blood, but about heart. We wanted to honor John and we know he understands our love for Collin.

Hill: because he is OURS. He is not a baby that was abandoned and un named. He is claimed by our love and our family forever. He is now and always will be a Hill. ❤️

Collin will be buried in Celina. He will be our Angel baby Bobcat. Celina has shown our family so much love and care and we are grateful to call Celina home. Baby Collin will always be an honorary Bobcat.

thank y’all so much. We thank you for any donation, and share or just prayer for his sweet spirit to know he is LOVED by us ALL!
