To help with Ralph's recovery and ongoing treatment.
Donation protected
Hi all, for those of you who know my daughter, Laura. She has a cocker spaniel called Ralph. In Devon last week, he had a life changing accident, unfortunately at the beach he jumped over a wall thinking it was the sea. Instead it was a 30ft drop onto rocks. He shattered his front leg. They had to drive him home from Devon, under sedation to the Royal Vetinary College in North London, arriving there at midnight. He had to undergo two complex operations and was kept in for one week. They had to rebuild a new knee and put a metal rod in his leg. After Ralph being home for three days, sadly his leg and paw have got very seriously infected and he is back in hospital where the vet did mention amputation if they cannot clear up the infection. He will now be kept in for a period of time on strong intravenous antibiotics and wound cleaning daily to try and beat the infection.
Like all of us animal lovers, they want to do all they can to get him through this. The cost so far is 14,500, their insurance is covering 9000 and it has cost them £5500 of their own money so far (borrowing) and with the costs continuing to rise.
It was our suggestion to do this as we feel helpless for them. If anyone would like to help by making a small donation, we would be so grateful, and it would certainly help them and Ralph with any on going treatments needed. X
Many thanks
