Hey, my name is Matthew Zink. I’m a 17 year Army Vet with a Tour to Iraq and Kuwait/Jordan. The tour to Iraq we had a Mortar attack on our base that was pretty significant. At the time, my twin brother and his wife were both there with me. Between the 156 mortars coming in and stressing about whether or not my brother and sister-in-law were ok, as well as few of my friends getting injured. I have been haunted by this since that day. In 2016 I almost lost my fight with depression, if it wasn’t for my brother, I wouldn’t be here today asking for help. The past couple years have been weighing heavy on me and I’ve been struggling to keep it together. I’ve talked with my Doc and he has recommended a service dog to help assist in dealing with PTSD and depression amoung other things. The service dog is going help with the nightmares. Any help would be appreciated.
