Hi! My name is Mitch Henderson. I was recently diagnosed with a Vestibular Schwannoma. This is a rare benign tumor. To make it even more rare, it is in my Cochlea. The major symptoms so far are that I am losing my hearing and having pulsatile tinnitus (hearing my heart beat 24/7). After living with this for two years, it is time to remove the tumor. At first, we looked into radiation, but there are too many concerns of a secondary cancer. We landed on surgery to remove it. With this surgery, I will lose complete hearing in my right ear. On top of that, I will lose complete balance until I complete a rigorous physical therapy to get my balance to Rosicrucian to my left side. I have to be out of work for 2 months to learn how to walk again, regain balance, and to be able to get my eyes to track and focus properly.
