Hi friends ♡

We are in desperate need to secure funds for a home we finally got the opportunity to rent!

Due to domestic violence from family, we have been homeless and living in a tent for 2 months. We lost all of our money we had saved for a home due to emergency relocations. We lost majority of our family and friends, and the government denied us help or emergency resources for lord knows what reasons. We are eventually seeking legal support to press charges and get restraining orders against the people who wronged our children and made false allegations against us, causing all of this harm.

Our kids are 1.5 and 2.5 years old. Axel, our youngest, is epileptic and suffered a brain injury at the hands of my in laws during the abuse prior to us going no contact. He is also autistic and being tested for hearing loss. We spend quite some time at hospitals and doctors with him. Our daughter, Luna, is also autistic and being seen by specialists to find ways to aid her development.

I (Savanah) came off of maternity leave in June, and my husband Daniel was going to stay home with our babies. I was blessed with an amazing opportunity to work for a great company, but it's taking longer than expected and more money than anticipated to get my license for insurance, which would allow me to work remotely and support my family.

I've been searching for quite some time now for homes, messaging hundreds of places from all over, trying to find something before winter. Everything has been falling through. My husband is working cash woodcutting jobs in the mountains, we have to go to the foodbank weekly, but time is running out and the weather is getting very cold.

We finally got a call saying we were chosen to rent a house in Southern AB for $1500 per month. To secure the place, we need the equivalent deposit ($1500) ASAP, and then the first month's rent + pet deposit for my service dog in training by October 1st. We also need to rent a uhaul to get what's remaining of our belongings out of a friends house.

We had sold as much of our stuff as we could to afford diapers and food for the kids + dog. We have reached out to all shelters and are on waiting lists for every possible resource - our credit cards are hundreds of dollars over and our bank accounts were shut down and sent to collections. Our hands are tied and we desperately need help - it's so scary.

During this time, I also got some unfortunate news that I'm in the beginning stages of the Big C, and will be getting a hysterectomy to hopefully remove the threat. Through all of this, all I pray for is safety for my kids, so they don't have to suffer any longer. There's only so far a "family camping trip" can be fun for with no money and cold weather.

My husband is waiting to hear back if he got the job he interviewed for in the city too, which would be so incredible to just be able to go into work and have a home close by finally.

This is only the tip of the wildly crazy things that have happened this year landing us where we are.

I am praying and begging for any kind of help to secure this house - anything is so beyond appreciated and I would be more than willing to pay you all back for your kindness when I have my work going.
