Hi, my name is Sheenagh. I am fundraising to purchase a car and caravan.

in February 2025 we were caught in the Ingham floods and lost nearly everything. We had 1.8metres of water under the house which destroyed our two cars.

we had no insurance as my partner is on a pension and I have been struggling to get my executive functions working effectively since the floods.

we were able to purchase a second hand Toyota Prado and small pop out van.

On Monday 8th August 2026 we had an accident and the car and van are totalled.

there were three adults in the vehicle and two greyhounds. Our only injuries were a few bumps and bruises. So glad we had the dogs strapped in.

again we have no insurance because we couldn’t afford it.

we were NOT having a holiday.

both sets of parents are nonagenarians - one in SA and two in Mackay.

As we had no home but the van, we chose to spend our time going between our parents to help where we could.

now we have lost most of our gear again, and are truly homeless. Don’t even have a car to sleep in.

I am finishing some studies to improve my work situation but we desperately need help if anyone is able to.

we are also a thousand kilometres to the nearest family who we can stay with.

we just don’t have any way to get there.
