As some of you may know, my cousins husband Jay, was diagnosed with Sarcoma ( a rare cancer of the muscle ) 2 years ago.
Jay had to have major surgery to his thigh to remove the tumour, then 6 weeks of radiotherapy. Jay then rang the bell at Christies, and as a family we all felt relief that we weren't going to lose him and we could start to look to the future.
After a few months Jay noticed another lump in his shoulder, but due to Covid wasn't able to see any doctors face to face . After many discussions over the phone Jay was finally seen in Christies a few months later, and full body scans were set up. Jay then got the results that his cancer had spread to his shoulder and returned in his thigh and groin. We was all devastated as you can imagine.
After being diagnosed with stage 4 Sarcoma Cancer the NHS are only offering Palliative Care .
Jay's family and friends are starting fundraising to cover the costs for new pioneering drugs, Chemotherapy Treatments and clinical trials only available to private patients . Jay and the family have the fight of their lives in front of them and we all want to do what we can to support them . Any donations given would be greatly appreciated.
A fundraising day with be happening on the 13th of November @ Premier fives, details to be announced soon. Family and friends will also be doing a midnight walk to the 3 towers , date to be announced.
Thank you for taking the time to read Jay's story.
