Hello Everyone,
It is time for another update on the status of Tim & Bert Boyd. We are coming to you asking for EVERYONE to pray again for them! They both need the healing power and a special touch from our Lord. Jesus took the stripes upon his back for our healing. Not just physical, but emotional, mental, and spiritually!!!
Tim had an MRI two days ago and has a PET scan on 2/24/26 due to his Oncologist telling them his cancer was behaving very aggressively, as some of his lab test are elevated. Tim is still dealing with a great deal of pain in his body and especially in the femur of his leg that was injured and finally had a full hip replacement over 6 months ago. The cancer lesion is still in his femur and has probably weakened that bone. His back still has multiple lesions on his spine. Tim is still using a cane to walk and get about. The PET scan will show if there is any growth or new areas in Tim's body that the cancer might have spread to. Tim and Bert are still smiling and praising God that he is present with all of us.
Bert needs prayers for stamina and strength as she helps Tim and also for herself as she is looking at a surgery in early April, as part of her continuing journey with her own breast cancer battle. There has not been any evidence of new cancer. However, after speaking with her Oncologist this surgery was recommended.
Once again we want to say Thank You, and tell each of you that we have continued to pray for the Lord to Bless and Keep each of you. We are humbly asking that you continue to pray for Tim, Bert, and their family as the journey is not yet over in this fight!
Sincerely,
Susie and Randy Boyd
This is something Tim, himself just posted yesterday. In case you had not seen it.
"I want to thank all of the people who contributed to the GoFundMe page. You will never know how much that means to me. It is great to see that people care about other people.
I want to thank my sister-in-law Susie for getting it set up.
Most of all, I want to thank God for intervening on my behalf. I want to thank the staff at the Potters House Church of God for never giving up on me, especially Pastor Michael. I love you all."
Hello Family and Friends,We are writing this on behalf of Randy's younger brother, Timothy Boyd. A little over a year ago, Tim was diagnosed with Stage 4 Prostate cancer. He already had metastasis to his cervical and lumbar spine and right femur. He has been undergoing treatment at The OSU Cancer Center since then. Just this Spring, they discovered another lesion in his spine at T-10. Throughout all his treatments, his faith has grown and become stronger; he continued to work full-time at his construction job even through all the pain he is dealing with. He just completed 8 radiation treatments in a week and kept working. Doing this to keep all his bills paid and to care for his lovely wife, Roberta (Bert) of 43 years, who just before his diagnosis went through her cancer journey. During this time, they have never asked for any assistance. However, now is the time for all of His, Bert's, and the family and their friends to assist them if possible.
Last Sunday, July 20th, Tim (aka Paco) was with his granddaughter Penelope and suffered a motor scooter accident to avoid running into her and hurting her ahead of him. "Paco" flew over the handlebars and wrecked. He gashed his head, bumped, bruised, and scraped up his limbs, and broke his femur. Tim underwent surgery called Open Reduction Internal Fixation or ORIF, metal fasteners inserted to hold the pieces of his femur together as they heal. The cancer lesion was luckily below the break. He has been inpatient since the accident, and now on Monday, 7/28, he will be transferred to Dodd Hall rehab for 7-10 days. Depending on how quickly he heals up and rehabs will determine when and if he can return to work. With his determination, we are pretty sure he will attempt to return to work if he is able to.
So our ask is to please help Tim and Bert during this difficult time with as many prayers as you can pray and then with a financial donation if you are able to help them meet their medical and living expenses as Tim heals.
Thank you all!
