Hi family and friends, I am starting this GoFundMe for my amazing sister Tara Amoroso. Tara, we love you so much and we are lifting you with prayers and love. With permission from Tara and talking with family, we feel moved to start this GoFundMe in hopes to remove much of the financial stress and burdens my sister is facing during these distressing times. Over the last few years Tara has seen several specialists and has undergone, biopsies, and MRIs, and due to the number of masses found in her breast, her doctors are strongly advising her to get a double mastectomy. A double prophylactic mastectomy surgery is a surgery that will remove both breasts to lower the chances of getting breast cancer. In Tara’s case, she is more likely to develop breast cancer than not. It is in Tara's best interest to get ahead of the curve than wait. With this being the best option and with the advisement from Tara’s care team, Tara is scheduled to get her double mastectomy on May 10th, 2023. Tara is a salon owner and house owner, and her insurance is only able to cover a little. Tara is going to be out of work for at least 6 weeks and is going to need a lot of support. Not only is this going to take a physical toll on her body, but this is also affecting her mental and emotional state of being. Anything helps, and support is everything, whether that is financial, prayers, groceries, gift cards or just a simple message of love. Thank you ❤
