My cousin, Steve passed away yesterday, September 18, at 11:52 a.m. in Bakersfield, California. Thank you to everyone for your prayers, words of encouragement, and kindness. Now, on to the rough road of grieving, trying to heal and find a new "normal" for his family. My head is spinning with grief, as well, and I don't have information regarding a memorial. We're all raw this day, and what plans can be made haven't yet been conceptualized. For now, it's finally falling to sleep from grief exhaustion, and waking up the next morning to realize it wasn't just a terrible dream. This is true for many of us in the immediate family, but for none more than his wife, Kami, children, Kira, Eian, Hayden and Kali, his mother, June, brother, Scott, and 8-year-old niece, Enslie. While his twin niece and nephew, Emmory and Everitt will undoubtedly miss his presence, they are too young to understand. I know what they'll miss, and it breaks my heart.
If you could spare a donation to help Steve's wife and children, we offer many thanks. Kami also lost her father recently, as well. To say it's been a hard year would be the understatement of the year. It's difficult to imagine the pain. Today is Steve and Kami's 15-year-old son's birthday. It should have been a day of celebration, but instead, mourning and remembrance.
God bless you for any donation, and most of all, for positive thoughts and prayers of comfort to our Father in Heaven, with Whom Steven now rests.
Thank you.
