Hello, my name is James Bennett, driver manager at Kettering. Rachel McFadden and I were proud to line manage Shay through his training to become a driver at our depot.

Shay was a hugely valued member of our team at Kettering who had a big personality and will be fondly remembered for his warm, contagious smile. He was extremely friendly and welcoming, making colleagues feel relaxed and at ease around him. We have lost a great colleague who touched the lives of many and will be truly missed.

His death shocked us all, including his family and his railway family. I have been in constant communication with Shay's sister, and this gofundme page is to help the family to give Shay the send-off he deserves.
