- Hi, my name is Wayne. I am the under 13s football coach for Rockbeare Rockets myself and the team are trying to raise some funds for one of our teammates Oliver who has been diagnosed with an hereditary optic neuropathy. this has caused Oliver‘s optic nerves to deteriorate and he has lost the majority of his vision in a very short space of time. And unfortunately, it looks like he will lose all his vision within the next few months.
Oliver is a very important part of our team . and though he cannot join in the matches as he has lost his vision, he is still very much a member of our team and we encourage him to come along and support and I have told him he can be my Number Two coach.
As a team, we would like to raise some funds for Oliver to help him and his family make some memories have a holiday and to help take off some of the financial pressures before he completely loses his eyesight.
Oliver is a Mancity fan and Exeter City fan . so would be amazing to try and get him and his family there to watch the match .
