To help my Daddy kick cancers ass ❤️

My name is Savannah Ryan and I am posting this go fund me for my Dad, Gerry Ryan, who was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of Neuroendocrine carcinoma that has eaten through his orbital bone and now encroaching on both of his eyes. Gerry is truly is an amazing soul, so sweet, gentle and genuine. I know most daughters say that about their dads, but he honestly is. My dad is the type of man that would help a stranger in any situation. He is an incredible athlete, from surfing, and canoe racing to body building, not to mention he’s a phenomenal tennis player. He has never said no to a challenge in his life. If you need him, he shows up anytime, anywhere. Anyone that has been blessed to know him, would tell you the same.

 

This illness came out of nowhere. The aggressive cancer he has is so rare that doctors can’t even came up with a plan until they can get the tumor to stop growing and hopefully shrink it with chemo. If they were to operate now, he would lose both of his eyes. We are praying chemo shrinks the tumor so they can try and remove it and spare his eyes. Insurance will not pay for us to go to any other hospitals or specialists for second opinions. The surgeon who can perform this surgery is not approved by our insurance but we are fighting them every day.

 

With that being said, this will take a lot of money from their household. My dad, Gerry, is the bread winner in the family and is now unable to work. He is an truck driver / owner operator, THE guy we all need to get the products we use daily. He’s the hardest working man I have ever met and has never once complained. Instead, he donates his extra cash to charities like Wounded Warrior Project, The Interstitial Cystitis Association (ICA), Autism Speaks and Underground Railroad. He has the most beautiful heart.

 

Gerry has an 18 year old special needs daughter that lives at home and will for the rest of he and his wife’s life. I know money is tight for everyone nowadays but I am hoping to ease his burden by asking anyone who can spare a little extra money to help support my dad. My goal is $80k and I thank you, from the bottom of my heart, in advance!
