Please help my brother Russell Miller

Update on Russell 7/11/23. Russell is almost 6 months into his Bone Marrow Transplant from Acute Myeloid Leukemia. He has 6 more months left to do all that is required when you have a transplant. I had no idea what he would go through for 1 year but it is exhausting.
He is at the hospital or dialysis 5 days a week, getting platelets, and blood drawls, seeing the oncologist and 3 days a week getting dialysis, and is on oxygen at night. He travels from Versailles to Lexington.
He has absolutely no immune system making him extremely sensitive to get sick for any reason. Since he was released from the hospital the end of March, he has been hospitalized 4 times; a UTI, a bacterial infection and the last 2 times because he has Shingles. The doctor put him in the hospital 4 weeks ago for Singles on the forehead and they kept him for 10 days and sent him home. He just called me and he is in the ER and they are admitting him because the shingles have gotten worse and moved into the right eye and he can not see. He said this is the most painful thing he has ever been through including the Leukemia and transplant. He is in so much pain right now and I'm afraid he is getting very discouraged.
His medical bills keep stacking up along with their everyday bills, and Kim is Russell's 100% care provider because he can't even drive or get around without assistance. We are so grateful for all she has done and continues to do for Russell anddon'tt know what we would do without her. Please keep Kim in your prayers as well.
If you can help out at all, no amount is too small. $10 helps to pay for gas back and forth to Lexington. If you are unable to help out financially, I ask that you please pray for him for complete healing and for the shingles to go away. I ask that you please put him on your prayer list at church as well.
If you would like to send Russell a card of encouragement, please message me for his address. Thank you and God Bless.

Hello, I'm Karen Miller, and I am fundraising for my brother Russell Miller who has Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). AML is the most aggressive, most deadly form of Leukemia there is. Russell was diagnosed on Thanksgiving day, 2021, and thank God a donor has finally come through. He will have a bone marrow transplant at Markey Cancer Center in the next 4 to 6 weeks. For the past eight months, Russell has had to undergo one week of chemotherapy every month just to keep the cancer at bay. We all know what chemo can do to a person, but AML is fatal in "weeks to months" if left untreated.
Russell turned 50 on Saturday; he has his whole life ahead of him. He is a wonderful brother and son, a loving mate to his fiance Kim, a supportive dad to his bonus kids, and loving papaw to his grandkids. The US military employs him in the IT dept at Fort Knox, however he will not be able to work for one year after the transplant and has been limited for the past eight months on what he can do. My brother is a very hard worker and has worked a public job since he was 16. We were raised to work for what we have, and that's what we have done.
Russell's transplant alone is going to cost $500,000, and that does not count the 30-day stay in the hospital or the other incidentals and expenses that he will have. He will be out of pocket at least $150,000, even with health insurance. Filing bankruptcy or letting the bills go to bill collection is absolutely not an option because he will lose his security clearance which will cost him his job.
No amount is too small; if you can help at all, it would be so greatly appreciated. Thank you, and God Bless.
