To help me achieve my academic and cricketing dream

I’m writing to introduce myself. You may have seen me on the BBC’s Freddie Flintoff’s Field of Dreams. My story is truly remarkable, and I am reaching out for support as I take the next steps in my cricketing and academic journey.

Adnan’s Story

my life has been far from ordinary. Originally from Afghanistan, I arrived in the UK with no prior education, unable to read or write. Yet, through sheer determination, I have risen to the challenge, not only excelling academically but also I’m told showing exceptional promise on the cricket field. Now, at Rossall School, I am working towards the equivalent of 3 A-levels while pursuing a future in cricket at both club and county levels. My foster parents, who have been my greatest supporters, are in their 70s and 80s and have been providing for me beyond what social services can offer. Unfortunately, now that I am 18, funding from the local authority is significantly reduced, making this a critical time for me to secure additional financial support.

Why I Need Your Support

I have already passed my driving test and currently share a car with my foster carer, but to continue my studies and sports commitments, I urgently need my own transport. I board weekly at Rossall School, and having a reliable car will enable me to travel home on weekends and attend cricket matches with ease.

I am seeking funding to cover the cost of a car and insurance, allowing me to continue my education and cricket training without additional financial strain on my elderly foster parents. Your support could make a significant impact on my future, ensuring that I can maintain my momentum both in the classroom and on the field.
