Saturday the 15th July 2023, the morning we woke up to news of losing Ferndale's gentle giant
Seeing the outpour of love and memories from everyone shows how much of an impact his big heart made to all our lives!
His family is now facing an incredibly heavy-hearted and irreparable grief due to this unexpected loss and they will never be the same without him. Similarly, those who had the pleasure of knowing him will forever feel his absence.
As a community and doing what we do best, coming together in tough times, I know that everyone would want to help in anyway they can, nothing anyone can do will ease the pain of losing Jonny but maybe a little financial help may ease the burden and help support Rhiannon and his beautiful children. Any support we can provide will alleviate some of the worries and allow them to properly grieve for their rock.
Jonny will be profoundly missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him, Ferndale will not be the same without him

**Funeral Update**
The Funeral of Jonny Davis (JD) will take place on Friday the 11th of August. The funeral car will be leaving Tudor Street, Ferndale then will travel up to James Street where he was brought up. The car will stop outside there for 1 minute. We will then travel down to Pontypridd Glyntaff crematorium where the service will begin at 1.30pm.
Family flowers only please but if you would like to make a donation to the Thrombosis uk Charity that helps with the rerearch on why and how a thrombosis (blood clot) occurs, there will be collection boxes around the crematorium.
After the service everybody is welcome back to the Band club and the Con club Ferndale (where we both spent most of our Saturday nights) for refreshments and to celebrate the life of Jonny JD ❤️
