Meet Fabulous Gary!
Gary is a stunning, gentle two-year-old Akbash a loyal livestock guardian breed, now a loyal couch potato with a heart as big as his 175-pound frame. Gary came to Great Pyrenees Rescue of Utah two years ago with his brother, Craig, after both were left at a shelter.
Since joining rescue, Gary has faced more than his share of challenges. This sweet boy has undergone two hip replacement surgeries, and just when we thought he was finally on the mend, his eight-week checkup revealed another setback a torn right ACL.
Despite everything, Gary remains one of the sweetest, most loving dogs you could ever meet. He adores people, loves being with his brother Craig, and dreams of the day he can finally run and play without pain.
The rescue has gone above and beyond for Gary and countless other dogs ensuring every single one receives the care they need, no matter how hard it gets. But we can’t do it alone.
We are hoping to raise $5,000 to cover the cost of Gary’s ACL surgery so he can finally enjoy the happy, pain-free life he deserves.
Every donation, big or small, helps make this dream a reality. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your compassion, generosity, and continued support for Gary and Great Pyrenees Rescue of Utah.
