hi my name is Felix,and I am paralyzed from my armpits down.I've been paralyzed since 1991,and the reason why I'm paralyzed because I went out to California to work at a job up in the Sequoia mountains,some friends and I decided we were going to go on a long hike which was about a two to three-hour hike. at that time in California they were having a really bad water drought,and we came up to a waterfall and we decided to climb up it to get to the top and once we got to the top we had a couple of beers and talked a little bit. it was time to leave and as we were leaving I had gotten a gut feeling that something terrible was going to happen so I sat down to be more careful ,and when I sat down I had stuck my right foot out on a rock that happen to have moss on it biggest mistake of my life,my best friend Mike Malloy that I grew up with as a kidd seen what I was doing and yelled no no no don't do that but it been too late I have put my foot on the rock that was covered with moss and started slipping on the waterfall I had started going down feet first and I thought I would be able to make it but for some reason the water had gotten deeper and turn me really fast to wear my head hit a rock and dislocated my neck ,and started going down head first.when I finally landed at the bottom I fell into a big pool of water,and when I try to get up I knew I was paralyzed but I tried again and could not get up,as i laying in the pool water all these thoughts are running through my mind how my life is over,my buddy mike gets me first and ask what's wrong and I tell him that I'm paralyzed and he tells me that I'm in shock and I told him no Mike I'm paralyzed. I had begged mike to end My Life by holding my head under water but he just wouldn't do it to this day I'm grateful that he hadn't done it.if you look at it everyone has some type of disability.the money that I am asking for will be used to get the handicap lift fixed on my van.I worked at Walmart for 15 years and I had to take off for a little while for medical issues.I've been out for about 3 years now and now that my medical issues have gotten much better I am able to go back to work.so with the van being fixed I will be able to go back to Walmart and work again.so I'm hoping to raise this money in a short matter of time would be best I would hope to be able to raise it within the three month of this posting,I would be so grateful if I was able to get this fundraiser money it would help me out so much and make me feel like I'm doing a part.so for all users who donate I really do appreciate what you're doing for me and will never forget this for the rest of my life and if I ever have a chance to donate to someone's cause your charity I will be the first one to do so.
