Hello, my name is Marcy. Many of you folks from out of State know me from Marcy's Wash and Fold Laundry Service. Many of you in-State know me as a relative, neighbor, friend, co-worker, or Event Planner. In any case, if you know me, you know my life long friend Gayle Brooks Kreger. We have been 2 peas in a pod, through thick and thin, good times, and bad times, happy times, and sad times. And, we are more like family than just friends.
To the point,: Gayle's son Justin has just been diagnosed with Cancer of the Esophogus. This obviously is a huge shock, and quite honestly very scary news. The Oncologist looked at Justin and gave him 2 choices.... fight - or say to hell with it. Justin said I'm going to fight Cancer and I'm going to Beat Cancer. And we are all on TEAM JUSTIN and SUPPORTING HIM !!
Justin Kreger is 28 years old - a good guy. He's not into partying. He abides the law and lives a simple quiet lifestyle. He worked at Mansfield University in the food department.
Justin lives with his mom Gayle, who has her own medical issues, and Gayle's dad who is on disability and both Justin and Gayle help tend with him. They are in a house with very limited income and what hours Gayle was working, has now been put on hold to tend to Justin's Cancer diagnosis.
If any of you have had to deal with Cancer in your family (my grandson had Leukemia, so I know..) you will already know the changes in life that take place. The many trips to the hospital for testing, and procedures. Staying over night(s) away from home. Purchasing different foods, drinks. (Ensure) and prescriptions than you normally would and items to keep your loved one as comfortable as possible. The.gasoline expense, oil, wear and tear on vehicles for endless trips to the Cancer Treatment facility. Cell phone bill to keep the family at home "up-dated". all while juggling the regular at home, household bills that don't get put "on-hold" when Cancer strikes your household.
I am therefore asking for you to please dig into your pockets and help take some of this initial expense off Gayle's back, so that instead of worrying how she is going to keep utilities on for her dad , and the household bills maintained, and instead of worrying where that next dollar will come from to use for gasoline she can focus on being the Mom Coach for her only son Justin, while he fights for his life against this Esophogus Cancer.
Thank You
