Hi, I am Donna Sue Fraley and I am doing this fundraiser to help with expenses and bills incurred when a family was living with me recently.

Back in September I learned that a friend (whom I’ve been friends with for many years) and her family (husband and two daughters ages 12 and 14) had to vacate their home for awhile and they had nowhere to stay. I felt that God laid it on my heart to let them and their little dog live with me while “renovations” were going on.

This could be a very long story, but I will try my best to keep it brief.

It happened that the “renovation” of their house was not proceeding very well and things just were not getting done in a timely fashion. During this time we had some good moments, but then there were many negative things weighing on me as well. I told them that I would like for them to be out before Thanksgiving. That never happened; I gave them an extension, and then another extension until I finally had to give them the date of January 12th to be out and find another place. They agreed.

And, as you can well imagine, my utility bills had gone way up. My monthly water bills more than quadrupled in the four and a half months they were here. In the beginning, before they even moved in, they agreed to pay whatever was over and above my normal monthly charges. Then I had to have a plumber come and take care of a serious sewage problem which involved huge amounts of hair and bulks of toilet paper clogging up all the pipes. I even had to get someone to come with a backhoe and dig a hole in the front yard so that the plumber could get to and fix the sewer pipes leading to the main street drainage pipes. The charge for that (for which I am still paying on) was just a few dollars shy of $400.00.

They know that my only source of income is Social Security, and that check is not much. Also, she said she would not pay on the electric, which, of course, also went way up, because I was on a special government program that helps pay my electric. And I might add that they both are working full time jobs. She works from home on her computer, and was able to work while living in my bedroom when they were here.

In November they did pay one payment of $100.00 and another payment of $60.00. They moved out on January 12th and now will not communicate with me at all. I have tried and tried to ask the lady why she is avoiding me and refusing to talk to me or pay what they owe or make any restitution for other things that happened at and to my house while they were here.

So, I am reaching out to my friends, and friends of friends to help me with this.

What is owed me amounts to $852.76. Since GoFundMe will take a portion of what I receive, I am making my request for $1,000.00.
