To help David Carthy visit back home

Hi, my name is Alexis Lewis and I am the daughter of David Carthy aka Captain Barkey. My dad David started to dj in 1985 and a few years later joined nottingham’s finest radio station Heatwave which was founded by Lesley, Johnny, President and Andrew. My dads passion has always been music. He has done a lot for the Caribbean community in Nottingham by playing and hosting weddings, birthdays and most importantly community events for all to enjoy, which over the years has created his legendary status. My dad is very well known and loved in Nottingham and further afield.

I am organising a fund raiser for my Dad to visit Jamaica (his home).

My Dad has been battling Terminal Lung Cancer for the past 6 years, and as a family we would love to be able to give my dad this one wish of sending him to Jamaica. To travel to Jamaica with an illness such as cancer you can imagine the insurance is very expensive, so any donation big or small would be appreciated in this very special cause.
