Dear Friends, Family, and Community,

As many of you may have already heard there was a tragic accident that happened on Highway 89 about five miles south of Bear Lake Utah involving a Ford Excursion, and a Kia Rio that held four adult passengers and a baby. Fortunately, there are two survivors from the Kia Rio: the baby and Bryson Calixto. Bryson is a son, a brother, and a friend to many out there and he was transported by life flight on Wednesday to Ogden Utah, in critical condition.

Thankfully the surgeons in the hospital were able to work tirelessly and stop the internal bleeding, having his spleen removed in the process. After getting Bryson in stable condition we have found out that he is going in for surgery on his spine today. He will also need a full pelvis replacement, and along with this, he has fractured his leg and multiple ribs. The operations he has gotten and the ones he still needs plus the ICU Trauma Unit stay can cost well over $100,000.

As of right now, he cannot speak, but he can hear and is responsive in the ICU unit. This recovery will involve many physical steps as well as mental ones as he still is not aware of what has happened.

We are humbly asking for our family, friends and members of the community, to help Bryson cover some of the medical costs that this fight for his life will accrue. It has just begun, and we are beyond thankful that we even get to be in this place with him as the other families involved have lost the fight without a chance to begin.
