To help cover medical and funeral expenses

Hi all, after 3 months of being in a coma, my mom passed away in Korea.

She had been at a hospital and other facilities, and my Aunt had been taking care of and overseeing everything for her.

As you can imagine, 3 months of medical care in a special facility for patients in a coma was not cheap. My mom is a US citizen so healthcare has to be paid out of pocket in Korea.

 

I am starting this fundraiser to help recoup some of the medical expenses and funeral costs that my family has spent on my mom's care. Its been hard for me being away from everything, but it's been more difficult and distressing to me that they had to bare the burden of the costs.

 

The goal I've set only partially covers the medical expenses and funeral costs, any and all help would be greatly appreciated and I know it would help my family tremendously.

 

Although I'm gutted about my mom's passing, the help my family in Korea would receive helps me to feel a bit of ease as the financial burden they've endured can be partially repaid.

NOTE:  My Aunt in Korea will be the beneficiary of the funds as she has taken charge of all of the processes that has started in Korea.
Once the fundraiser ends on the 12th, I will withdraw the money and send the money to her via a wire transfer.  The date will depend on how long the wires take, but I'm hoping the funds will arrive in Korea by the 15th of July.
