US$4 = mosquito net to reduce exposure to insects that cause malaria, yellow fever, dengue
US$5 = spacer to help children with asthma, bronchitis, and pneumonia
US$7 = deworming treatment to prevent diarrhea and malnutrition
US$8 = toothbrush and toothpaste kit
*Help us achieve US$20,000.00 for a portable ultrasound device!

We are MOVE Global, an initiative within the student organization Marshall Outreach Volunteer Entrepreneurs (MOVE at USC), where we seek to address global humanitarian issues through fundraising efforts!

This semester, MOVE Global is proud to support Doctors of the Forest Association, a non-profit dedicated to delivering critical medical care to remote, hard-to-reach Brazilian Indigenous communities in the Amazon Rainforest.

Learn more about Doctors of the Forest:

With limited access to healthcare and surrounded by polluting industries, the Indigenous communities often face life-threatening conditions without proper treatment. Doctors of the Forest Association sends volunteer medical teams deep into the Amazon, providing life-saving services, health education, and sustainable solutions to improve long-term well-being, seeking and promoting the quality of life and social inclusion of needy communities.
Doctors of the Forest conducts expeditions around the Amazon Rainforest, providing services in pediatrics, dentistry, gynecology, general medicine, and more!

Learn more about the expediction:

The donated money will be directed to support the Indigenous community from Guajajara, in the Brazilian state of Maranhao, that will be conducted from May 15th to May 23rd. The doctors include dentists, gynecologists, pediatricians, and general practitioners, all of whom are trained to serve the Indigenous communities through friendly practices and communication.

For instance, dentists are expected to perform restorations (treating cavities), tooth extraction, prophylaxis (cleaning, fluoridation, brushing lessons), distribute toothpaste received through donations, and address toothache complaints. The doctors will also perform services in the vehicles’ offices - adapted buses and trucks - in a mobile unit of the Maranhão Special Indigenous Health District, in classrooms of the school, and outdoors.

WITH YOUR HELP, we can transform Guajajara’s medical conditions and improve Indigenous communities’ well-being!
