To help a friend, on the road to recovery

On December 16th, 2022, Mike came home complaining of an earache. By December 18th he made a turn for the worst. We called an ambulance, and he was taken to the hospital. They tested him for the flu and covid, which came back negative. However he was tested for bacterial mennigitis and pneumonia, and they came back postive. Before we had time to even process the current events that were happening, he was placed into a medical induced coma. They believed he had bacterial meningitis. They did a lumbar puncture. He was immidiately admitted into ICU. The doctors predictions were right, his test for bacterial menigitis came back positive, and it was spreading quickly throughout the brain and bloodstream. He was on life support for 4 consecutive days. Sadly during these hard times, Mike was unable to celebrate Christmas with his family. He was in the hospital for 2 weeks. Luckily he pulled through and made it home. However, the infection caused hearing loss in his left ear, and attacked his left eye. The left eye is in danger of going blind. The doctors are trying to save it. He has a long road to recovery. While all of these events were happening, he was unable to attend work with no pay. This caused him a hardship, and caused him to fall behind on bills. Along with his bills, medical bills are also piling up. He also has doctors appointments on a weekly basis, which causes him to take off work. He is on the verge of losing his home. Any donation and shares will be very appreciated!
