Unfortunately I was involved in a self-defense INCIDENT.
Two crackheads ran over neighbors metal mailbox close to midnight, were out there yelling, blocking only 2 lane road in front of where I live, honking their horn. Friends son woke me up(who plays loud video games all night even).
I genuinely thought the elderly neighbor was in imminent danger. So I responded.
Asked them to leave, and one guy lunged @ me. I didn't expect that at all. But it's better to he judged by 12, then carried by 6, " as the ol' saying goes...
In America courts are known to have double-standards. Those who have money to afford legal representation(a chance), & those who can't.
This is a big case!
The retainer(fee to retain lawyer), is $10-20K alone!
I've got a Public Defender(who said "I heard prison is better than jail..."). So don't I should trust my freedom to him... An overloaded, rookie...
Been selling everything I can. Still don't have the money to even afford a retainer. Sold my cargo trailer to pay off predatory loan I took out to post bail. Trying to sell everything I can!
I DON'T BELIEVE IN HANDOUTS. I'm all about working for what I have. I'm on small disability after military.
I will PERSONALLY PAY EVERYONE BACK AFTER THIS! IF I TAKES THE REST OF MY LIFE!
OR WORK IT OFF.
