We are raising funds for a Behind the walls

Committee member, a dedicated organizer, who recently stepped up to support our organization as a Board member, too. She is a full-time single mom whose children’s fathers have both passed away. She is also a survivor of domestic violence. She has been experiencing abuse by a neighbor for years including physical assault that left her with a black eye, verbal abuse and threats towards her children, and being threatened at gunpoint, when she attempted to file a restraining order. The neighbor has since weaponized the criminal justice system against her, filing falsified police reports with the police, courts, and landlord. Our member has all the documentation and videos to prove that the complaints are false, but the landlord has continued to threaten her with Eviction. She has been living in public housing, and is now working around the clock to raise the necessary funds to cover a deposit on an apartment if she is evicted. These funds will help pay for her lawyer and help her and her kids get to a safe place ASAP.
