Last week my partner was driving home along a very busy road when she spotted a dog running into oncoming traffic. She immediately stopped her car and jumped out into the traffic to help rescue the dog. She noticed 3 women who were trying to catch the dog but the dog was extremely scared and had nipped at one of them. They seemed a bit reluctant, rightly so, to grab the dog as they could see it was a Bully Breed and I believe they were scared.
My partner managed to rescue the dog who was in a very bad way. You could clearly see that she had been neglected, starved and possibly abused.
She brought her home to me as I work with dogs and she wanted to help her.
We fed her and gave her drink and she was so hungry but so very scared. You could see how fast she was trying to eat it, that she was starving. Her ribcage, spine and her frail way was heartbreaking to see.
We have taken her in and we are nursing her back to full health. We have contacted local charities and are speaking with numerous rescues. In the meantime, she has been handed over to our care with no
legal owners.
We already own 3 dogs and have currently had to separate them and ourselves whilst we assess and treat her conditions. I am home with her whilst my partner has taken our dogs to a different house.
I have set this up to try and help with costs for her care. We have purchased ointments and treatments for her skin conditions and have her on a strict diet to build her strength back up and to limit any further problems.
She is a beautiful girl who is slowly learning to trust us. She has become very protective and attached to me ❤️
Who knows what the future holds, but for now, a warm home full of love is what is best.
Please help in any way that you can, big or small. This will cover her vet expenses, food and medications.
I will happily provide proof with receipts and update with her progress.
thank you x
