Help Protect the Rights of Breastfeeding Teachers

Hello everyone. My name is Jessica Childers and I am a special education teacher.
In 2020 I had my second child and returned to work with the need of expressing milk for my newborn. But like many other teachers, administrators would not accommodate me, despite state and federal laws designed to protect nursing mothers.
I faced intense criticism, harassment, and retaliation that resulted in my termination that same school year. Administrators told me, "We don't pay you to come in here and do nothing," in reference to my need to express breastmilk.
My only course of action was to take legal steps to stop this from happening to others and protect myself. But non-tenured teachers face a hurdle: administrators have given them a bad evaluation and that always seems to work, and teachers lose.
In case after case, I have seen this happen. Despite damning evidence provided by teachers, and I was no exception. My evidence is powerful, but I did not get the opportunity to present it to a jury of my peers. The conservative federal judge Stivers, dismissed all claims and has shut me down.
But I know this happens to many teachers, and many have lost their jobs and court cases. I plan to appeal this travesty of justice but I need help. Appellate attorneys are incredibly expensive. But my plan is to protect not just me, but all nursing teachers across America by overturning this judgement.
Will you help me?
