To Danny Macklins Sobriety

ALL DONATIONS ARE PAID DIRECTLY TO JUST ONE RECOVERY

To Danny Macklins Recovery - Sunday night I was sitting on the couch, during Sunday nights football game I was scanning through facebook.  Im not sure who it was that made a comment, but someone I know commented on Danny Macklins page.  It caught my eye and I went to investigate further.  I saw a few things that appeared he may need more then a person to vent to.

Honestly, I probably havent spoke to Dan since 2004.  Didnt know what was going on with him other than the few things ive seen posted on FB.  So I reached out, "hey bud is all good with you."  He replied that "he was good, and had come to YL to kick."  From his post it appeared he was living in the streets.  A position I hope no one I know ever has to experience.

Being the strong individual he is, he told me "he wasnt looking for pity, but thanks for hitting him up."

I told him I knew he wasnt looking for Pity, and that I may know a place that has helped my close friend Brian. And could help get him on his feet if he was serious about making it happen.

He was resistant at first in fear of cost.  I told him not to worry that we would figure that part out.  The important thing was to get him off the street, and into a community that can help support his issue and push him forward with his life.

Brian reached out to the guys at Just One Recovery, and was able to set him up.

I put the ball in his court, I provided him with a number to call if he was serious.  He called and Daniel from Just One Recovery, picked him up that next day.  Danny Mac called me and couldnt stop thanking me.  He now has a roof over his head and surrounded by strong minded people who give a crap about his recovery.

Feel free to text me or call with any questions...
