My name is Darcy McIlroy, and I am 12 years old. I Live in Gainsborough, which I have all my life and Dance at Royal Vulcans cheer and dance in Lincoln. The POM team Invasion and I have been training very hard, and we have been given this amazing opportunity to attend a dance competition called the Allstars worlds which is the equivalent to the Olympics for cheer and dance, this will take place in Orlando, Florida in April 2026. This has been awarded by Cheer City Dance for dancers that have shown the ability to compete in the World Championships. I started dancing in Gainsborough and gained confidence to join a team to compete in Dance! It is a big chance for me to show my talent learn from all the dances and represent my community. Unfortunately to take part in this dance competition it comes at cost and im asking for some help to pay for costumes fees, insurances, music licence, dance training, travel.

I am in the process of organising a sponsored walk with family to raise money for me to go to America. We are going to walk 10k in Sherwood forest!

Update so we did our sponsored walk thanks for all the donations it ended up being above 11km in Sherwood forest it was brilliant. As I type this Darcy is in America dancing in the worlds competition good luck Darcy hope you have the time of your life!!!!
