Hello My name is Keteesha, and I'm a mother of two wonderful daughters from Albany NY. Our family owns a restaurant on Washington Ave in Albany NY called Stickies, which I started 6 years ago. It was a journey filled with hard work, dedication, love and support from our community. Stickies quickly became a beloved spot, attracting customers from all over. However, like many businesses, we faced challenges when the Covid-19 pandemic hit. Despite theses difficulties we remained open, serving our loyal customers. Then inflation came along causing prices to rise across the board. Still we preserved. Then an opportunity arose, and I decided to expand my business by opening a second location in the mall. It was exciting venture, and I saw the incredible potential it held with the right support and investors it would of took off but juggling both spaces was tough to endeavor to manage alone. I poured my heart and soul into my first location on Washington Ave doing everything possible to get back on track. However after 6 years, it's becoming increasingly challenging. I never received a PPP or SBA assistance and Despite my diligent efforts to secure business grants, there doesn't seem to be any available at the moment. Now, I'm reaching out to our community, family and friends because I don't want to see Stickies close it's doors. I've poured years of hard work into this business and the thought of giving up is disheartening. They say its takes a village and I truly believe that right now. I need my village more then ever. I'm open to any suggestions or support to help our business survive. Stickies is not just a restaurant, it's a staple and a recognized part of Albany let's work together to keep it here for many more years to come.
