To celebrate the life of Warren Pollock
Donation protected
Hi everyone, my name is Albert Connor and I've set this page up in the hope of raising some money to help ease the financial burden for the family as they plan to lay Warren (chief) to rest.
Sadly, on Wednesday evening, Warren became very unwell at home and had to be rushed to hospital where doctors discovered that he had had a catastrophic bleed to the brain and his chances did not look good. Unfortunately, further testing over the coming days confirmed the devastating news, that there was no brain activity. Late afternoon on Saturday 14th September, sadly big chief passed away peacefully in hospital with his family nearby.
I personally have had the absolute pleasure of knowing Chief for over 30 years, starting back in the days of the WPB flute band when our friendship first formed. We spent many a weekend travelling the country creating great memories and having the best time.
I also know from personal experience, the impact on a family, of a sudden death like this and the hardships that come with it. I am reaching out, as a friend of one of life's true gentlemen, to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him and being in his company, to help in any small way.
Warren was a larger than life character who never had a bad word to say about anyone. He was always willing to be a listening ear and offer one of his loveable hugs and he always managed to bring a smile to people's faces.
Obviously, with this being such a sudden tragedy, one of the last things people need or want, is to have to worry about costs and that is why I have set this page up. So that it hopefully lessens the burden on the family so that they can grieve the loss of their partner, father, brother, son, uncle, friend and great bandsman, without the added worry of how the costs will be covered.
Thank you all.
Rest Easy Warren
