I am starting this campaign on behalf of a friend's family.
My name is Raymond Ortega and I am a classmate and a friend to Roger Tejero.
Roger is a classmate back then in Medical Technology , Velez 1992 and back in Med School CIM.
He has always been fun, energetic and full of life.
He has moved to Chicago couple of years ago. We have lost contact since then. To some he has been elusive for reasons only Roger would have known.
I just learned today that he passed away  last 12/11/2016. I don't know much of the details with his death.  All I know, He still at  the Cook County Morgue  was tagged indigent  and it took couple of days for someone  ( a distant cousin ) to identify  and claim him. A common friend (Ella Arado)  back in Chicago has been in contact with his family back in Liloan Cebu.  The family possibly wants his body to be flown back , which costs 15,000 $ (and gofundme needs to have a dollar goal).

It is an insurmountable goal, but not impossible. Whether we reach that or not, the ability to remember on how Roger made us laugh then and possibly help the family will always be appreciated. Any amount will be sent directly to  the family.
We always hope for congruent celebrations- like, Happy Birthdays, Merry Christmas.. but for some and Roger's family  it will be different..
