To bring John W. Carney 4th home.
Donation protected
Hi my name is Enice Fleck, I am fundraising for my brother John and sister in law Francis. They have 5 children: Sean, Amber, John, Samantha & Ashley. A week ago John and Francis took a trip to Florida with the three youngest children to celebrate Thanksgiving with our mother. What was supposed to be a fun filled week of beaches and family time with their grandmother ended in tragedy Wednesday morning. Their son John was struck by a car in the early morning hours. Young John at only 18 years old fought for his life for days. With the news of their son not being able to recover from the accident, his parents made the incredibly selfless choice of donating John’s organs. My nephew John W. Carney IV will go on to live by saving other lives.
My nephew, John was a handsome young man. He was attending trade school to learn construction and he was planning on taking his GED test next month. Meanwhile he was working with his father to further learn the trade. John was known for living life to the fullest. He always made people laugh. He was also dedicated to working on getting his red belt in Tang Soo Do.
Our family lives in New York and we would like to bring John home from Florida to have a funeral and lay him to rest with our family. No parent should have to bury their child but due to the unexpected passing of their young son, his parents are not in the position to cover transportation and final arrangements. I know everyone is having financial hardships but if you could please anything you can it will help. The holidays are not going to be the same this year, I am at least hoping with this request we can ease their pain if just in a small way.
Thank you,
Enice Fleck
Obituary
John W. Carney IV of Milton, NY, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2022, in Florida. He was 18.
The son of John W. Carney III and Frances Delaunay, he was born May 20, 2004 in Middletown, NY.
We are so proud of all his accomplishments and the man he was becoming. He was actively working with the YouthBuild of Kingston, where he made many friends and life long bonds. He was learning a trade in construction, which he also got to work with his Dad to finish taping and spackling a house. He had just gotten another job with Panera, that although he was only there a short period of time, was enjoying and excited to be there. In his down time, he loved playing video games, listening to music, watching movies and hanging out, listening to his little sister Ashley (they were best of friends) and enjoying all the fun times with Sean, Amber and Samantha throughout the years.. Beside always having Ashley around, he would always keep his beloved cat Mini and her kittens with them. No words can ease the incredible pain and heartache our family is experiencing as he had a full life ahead of him with so much promise. We will truly miss John every day and keep him always in our hearts.
Survivors include his parents John Carney III & Frances Delaunay; brother Sean Carney, sisters Amber Carney, Samantha Carney, and Ashley Carney; paternal grandma Joanne Barnhart, maternal grandma Holle Domenech & Andy, maternal grandpa Albert Delaunay & Lana; beloved Cat Mini and kittens Goober & Skylar.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandpa John Carney Jr.
