Some days, no matter how much I want to, my body just can’t keep up — and that breaks my heart.

My name is Liga, and I’m a mum to two beautiful children. For years, I’ve been living with chronic health issues, including an underactive thyroid, sleep apnoea, and constant pain and exhaustion. Recently, I was told I likely have fibromyalgia, a lifelong condition.

After medical advice and deep consideration, I’ve made the difficult decision to undergo gastric sleeve surgery — not for appearance, but for health, strength, and being present for my children. The surgery is booked, and it’s now just a few weeks away on 25 February, but I am still trying to save and raise the remaining funds.
