Help please in my ability to fight Cancer,MERSA

Hi, my name is Joshua Plohocky, my dad (Dennis Wilson) is battling very aggressive stage3b prostate cancer. His major health problems all started when he had a hip surgery in 2016. He was in surgery for over four hours and during this surgery he contracted MRSA. He’s had three more surgeries in an attempt to correct the MRSA infection all without success. The MRSA infection in his right leg has overtime weakened his muscles and has resulted in several painful hip dislocations. In October they rushed my dad to the hospital to have his hip set back in place and during this procedure they discovered that he also needed to get an MRI and follow up blood work. His blood work came back with a high PSA of 25.5 indicating that he has an aggressive type of prostate cancer. They also found a tumor in his left leg. My dad had a biopsy that confirmed the prostate cancer and helped the doctors to determine possible treatments. The doctors have now ordered a pet scan to determine the best way to attack his cancer.

Unfortunately, he has to travel three hours each way to the University of Michigan to receive necessary treatments. My dad does not have the funds needed to make these long trips for his cancer procedures. The cancer specialists have informed him that he will need to go through treatments every day for the next 18 weeks.and follow up treatments over next 18 months,His wife (Linda Wilson) is not well enough at this time to travel with him and their car has 298,765.4 miles on it and is in desperate need of repairs. Treatment facilities closer to his home do not currently have the specialized care available to fight his type of prostate cancer.

My dad has served in the navy and as volunteer firefighter and first responder. Please support
Help My Dad in His Fight Against Cancer and Severe Injuries**
Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers, I am reaching out to you today with a heavy heart and a hopeful spirit. My father has endured a year filled with unimaginable pain, strength, and resilience. On May 26, he was in a devastating car accident that broke and fractured his neck in six places, fractured his ribs in four places, fractured his pelvis in three places, broke his tailbone, and destroyed his hip implant. He also suffered a skull fracture that caused internal bleeding. The severity of his injuries was so great that the hospital initially feared he wouldn't survive the helicopter flight to the University of Michigan Trauma Unit. After over three weeks in the hospital, doctors recommended transferring him to a long-term care facility. However, my dad's indomitable spirit led him to persuade the doctors to let him return home in time for his wife’s birthday. He came home in an ambulance, bedridden as his neck and other injuries began to heal. During this already challenging time, his cancer took advantage of his weakened state. His PSA levels soared to 45.75, and it wasn't until a PET scan could be performed that radiation treatment could begin. Heartbreakingly, the scan revealed that the cancer had spread to his bones, advancing to stage 4. The oncologist, understanding the gravity of the situation, urged us to attack the cancer aggressively and swiftly. From March 11 to April 30, 2024, my dad underwent daily radiation treatments. Despite the intense treatment, on May 13, his primary care physician and other doctors transferred his care to palliative care, a precursor to hospice. This team has been invaluable in managing his increasing pain. However, my dad has been losing weight despite following all dietary instructions, and the financial burden from his medical bills is overwhelming. Currently, my dad relies on friends for transportation to his treatments and doctor visits. He desperately needs a dependable vehicle so he or my mom can drive him to these critical appointments. We are immensely grateful for the support we have received so far, but we humbly ask for your continued help. Any donation, big or small, will make a significant difference in my dad's life. Your generosity will help cover his mounting medical bills and secure a reliable vehicle for his transportation needs. Please consider donating and sharing this page with others. Your support means the world to us, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. With gratitude and hope,
