Friends of Becky Isaacs: Medical Expense Fund

Donation protected
On December 15th, we received a phone call no one wants to receive. There had been an accident. Becky was being transported by ambulance to the hospital. She was hit head-on in a two-car collision in Hendersonville, TN. We soon learned the depth of her injuries. She was taken into surgery to insert a plate and nine screws in her right tibia and a full reconstruction of her right knee. Her left tibia was fractured and she sustained three fractured ribs.

Becky was released from the hospital on Friday, December 30th, after 16 days. She will spend four more weeks in a wheelchair, unable to stand or put any weight on either leg. She has a long road to recovery with physical and occupational therapy, as well as dealing with the emotional toll of the severity of the crash and the reality of how close it was to being a completely different outcome that we all choose to not think about. Along with the fact, that another person lost their life in the accident that day.

Over the last few weeks, we have witnessed the most extraordinary outpouring of love, support and prayers from so many people who care. This has brought the greatest comfort to Becky and uplifted her spirits during times that have been incredibly trying, while navigating many uncertainties. However, the questions we get asked the most are: “How can I help?” and “What can I do?”

The reality is, Becky is currently unable to tour. The Isaacs will hire a sub for the next 6-8 weeks, or until she is stable enough for travel and performing. Medical bills are pouring in. Specific medical equipment has been purchased to aid in the transition from hospital, to rehab, to home. Specialized transportation is needed. There are a lot of expected and unexpected expenses in the current and long-term care routines which are required for Becky’s optimal healing.

If you know Becky, you know that her indelible faith is the cornerstone of her life. She is led by the Spirit and her connection and commitment to Christ is an example to us all.

She is trusting in God to provide what is needed, but she is also not one to ask for assistance. This GoFundMe has been created for the people who are asking, ‘How can I help?’ or ‘What can I do?’ to be a blessing, when blessings are truly needed.

God has shown Himself over and over during the past few weeks and we are counting on His hand to guide Becky through these next few months of rehabilitation and healing.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the love and prayers for someone who is so special to so many. We know Becky has been more than overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and kindness that has been shown to her during this time. We know she will be grateful for anything that is given to this fund.

Please share this with your friends and family, or anyone you think may want to contribute. Above all, please keep those prayers coming for Becky and her family. We will be providing updates here on this page of her progress.

We are forever thankful! God Bless You!
