Hi, my name is Karina and I am raising funds for my friend, who lives in Malta and who was falsely accused by her ex- boyfriend.

4 years ago, in 2022, my friend’s boyfriend has falsely accused her of cheating on him. They had an argument and during this argument a glass broke. He sustained injuries to his neck. It was a foolish argument that how blown out proportion. But he promised to make her pay and made allegations to the police when she called an ambulance for him. Her life has been a nightmare over the past 4 years with court hearings being delayed and postponed while her life was dragged through the Maltese courts. She is from Latvia and she has lived in Malta for several years. Her then boyfriend was Maltese. During this time, her parents passed away from cancer and she didn’t have money for legal help. She feels that her case was not heard. She has two children, who need their mother. She needs legal assistance to fight the 3 years prison sentence that she was given. She did not hurt him. They were both to blame, but she is paying the price because of his false accusations. He hired lawyers, who he paid privately. He also promised that he will do everything to make sure she goes to prison because she allegedly cheated on him.
