Sabir's Independence

My name is Joseph Stockvis, a retired Theater designer started this account for my limbless wonderful friend Sabir. I have met Sabir Fettar over a decade ago, when he was getting ready to pursue his college education. Sabir was born with short upper and lower extremedies (arms & legs) due to a birth deffect doctors weren't able to identify the cause. Despite his disability and the hard environment Sabir grew up in, he was guided by strong parents to focus on education and live as independent and productive individual as possible. Sabir grew up blessed and loved by everyone around him admiring his lovely personality and ambitions, also enjoying his life and not let anything stop him. During his first years of schools, Sabir didn't have much luxury with handicap accessibility in his schools or anywhere in that time. He had to make triple efforts than other kids to keep up with school schedule, go on stairs two and three stories to attend a class using his heavy prosthetic. He fell and got hurt so many times, but he never let that scare him or stop him from reaching his dreams. In the last year of his high-school period, Sabir graduated as one of the top students with honor in his school, and he was rewarded a full ride scholarship to pursue high education in the U.S. as a result of hard work. Sabir has pursued undergraduate in Business and master degree in Accounting, always being grateful to the blessings God Almighty surround him with. Then Sabir started his own family when he found his other half Amber, who has seen the true strenghts and love inside him beyong the physical disability, she fell in love with his personality; ambitions and love toward life and people in general. Both Sabir and Amber were blessed with having two beautiful kids girl and a boy. Sabir has a very special relationship with his wife and kids, he adores them dearly and look at them very precious because as a young limbless kid, he never imagined or was sure he'd have a family of his own one day. I truly admire this guy's determination and desire to live and love and make people happy. I think he's a great inspiration to all of us to appreciate what we have and do our best to keep going on our dreams and not let anything stop us from reaching them. He was born limbless , but yet he was always grateful and ambitious to use what God gave him to educate himself and build a career and start his own family in the U.S.
Sabir uses lower extremedies prosthetic and refused to get fitted for upper extremedies or artificial arms since he's pretty independent and that wouldn't add anything to his daily life, he grew up using his both arms in doing pretty much everything by himself eating, showering, studying, even helping around the house. The only thing Sabir wishes for and is still missing in his life is a reliable transportation he calls it his own, the next dream he's looking forward to achieve is getting a car equipped so he can drive to work and be more independent without worries on daily basis, due to the expensive cost of these equipment he can't afford to pay beside other monthly bills. Now Sabir's over 38 years old and he still has not got the chance to drive and get that missing independence in his life yet. Therefore, I ask everyone kindly who reads his story to join me with a pride and help me in raising enough funds to make this loving husband and father's life little bit easier with more independence and less worries and make his dream of having a reliable car come true. God bless you all!
