Help Maureen from Imperial
Donation protected
I am raising money to help my Mom stay in a safe location. She was recently displaced through no fault of her own. There was a small fire in the house she was renting from and the building inspector said the apartments were illegal and no one could stay.
My Mom has worked almost 20 years at two locations of the same company, Hillside and Imperial. My Mom loves her customers. She remembers spouses, kids, and even the pets names along with address, phone number, and how you like your things.
What people may not know about my Mom is that she is almost 66 years old. She would qualify for senior housing however the wait list is quite long. Since being displaced I have gone through every website trying to find her a rental/sublet/room with no luck.
I am trying to do everything to keep my Mom out of a homeless shelter.
My Mom goes above and beyond for her customers, not because she gets paid to, she genuinely tries to make a mundane task not so boring and sometimes even a little fun. Some customers need a little therapy session and sometimes my Mom does. She's there for it all.
For those of you that will see this and are customers don't worry she will have the good candy back soon!!!
On behalf of my family we are greatly appreciative of anything that can help my Mom. If anyone has any resource or ideas for housing or knows of an affordable place for her please reach out.
Thank you,
Maureens daughter Samantha
