Hi there! My name is Thalia, and I’m an independent rescuer working alongside my two sisters. Together, we’ve rescued over 100 cats in our community, and today I’m reaching out for your support with an urgent mission.

Our Current Challenge: Kitten Season

We’re currently in the midst of kitten season, a critical time when unspayed female cats can produce litter after litter of kittens. We’re managing 6 separate cat colonies in our area, and our goal is to implement TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) for as many cats as possible to humanely control the population explosion.

Why TNR Matters: The Statistics

• A single unspayed female cat and her offspring can produce up to 420,000 cats over 7 years

• Approximately 70% of all cats entering shelters are euthanized, and that number rises to 80-90% for feral cats

• We’ve found an affordable program where each spay/neuter procedure costs just $20 per cat, not including trapping supplies and transportation

• TNR programs have been shown to reduce colony size by up to 30% in just the first year when implemented thoroughly

• Community-wide TNR efforts can reduce shelter intake by 25-40%, saving taxpayer money and feline lives

Our Track Record

As independent rescuers, my sisters and I have successfully rescued over 100 cats. We’ve built relationships with local veterinarians who provide us with discounted services, allowing your donation to stretch further and help more cats.

The cats we cannot socialize and rehome are returned to their colonies, where they live healthier lives without producing more kittens. The colonies gradually shrink through natural attrition.
