Mi hermano, Pompeyo Arvelo, vive en Venezuela y le han diagnosticado cáncer de páncreas terminal. Los médicos le han dado entre seis meses y un año de vida. Escuchar esas palabras ha sido devastador para nuestra familia; nadie está preparado para afrontar algo así.

A pesar de todo, Pompeyo sigue luchando con valentía y fe. Intenta mantenerse fuerte a pesar del dolor, pero el acceso a la atención médica y los tratamientos adecuados en Venezuela son extremadamente limitados y costosos. Nuestra familia está haciendo todo lo posible, pero los costos de los medicamentos, las visitas médicas y el cuidado diario se han vuelto abrumadores.

My brother, Pompeyo Arvelo, lives in Venezuela and has been diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer. The doctors have given him six months to a year to live. Hearing those words has been devastating for our family — no one is ever prepared to face something like this.

Despite everything, Pompeyo continues to fight with courage and faith. He’s trying to stay strong through the pain, but access to proper medical care and treatment in Venezuela is extremely limited and expensive. Our family is doing everything we can, but the costs of medications, medical visits, and daily care have become overwhelming.
