Help my family get back on their feet

It really upsets me what the media will do for a decent pay check. At roughly 2 am on Wednesday morning my grandmas house caught fire from an electric fault as it was an old house, the media has falsely advised that “a mother left in critical condition with her 3 children escaping unharmed”. That is the furthest thing possible from the truth. The truth is that when the house caught a flame the neighbours luckily noticed and called 000, but before they got there, my grandma was trapped out side from the power being cut off as she tried to run for the garden hose not knowing that it was a fire waiting to enrage as soon as the front door opened. She reacted very quickly and began to bang on mine and my partners window to try and wake us up, she then continued to bang on all of the other windows doing her best efforts to wake everybody up. Emily then woke up and opened the bedroom door to see that it wasn’t possible to escape through the front door because the fire had already quickly spread to the majority of the house. She then woke me up and my first reaction was to pick my cat up then kick through the window for me and Emily to escape. Once I had gotten us out of my room I could painfully hear my little sister screaming from my grandmas room, “Help me, I’m stuck, I can’t breathe, I’m gonna die.” Luckily before she had lost complete consciousness she managed to get her self up onto a desk that was near a window, I then smashed the window with my elbow and pulled her out as quickly as possible. Me and my grandma continued to try and smash my aunties window but unfortunately the glass was too thick for either of us to get through. The ambulance, fire brigade and cops came approximately 5 minutes after the call was made and they heroically managed to put out the fire before the whole house went down. I’m hoping for a speedy recovery after having surgery on my foot, arm and finger which happened from smashing through the glass and for my little sister too who had surgery on her wrist but unfortunately last night this world lost one of the kindest souls you could ever meet, my Aunty. Despite the ambulance doing their best efforts I’m glad I got my sister and girlfriend out before it was too late because if it were even a minute longer I probably would have lost them too. I hope the truth gets around out of respect for Kirstie because I know that she’ll be watching down on me and my whole family and I know god has put her in a place where she can now be in peace.

It’s such a tragic and scary time for my
whole family, we have lost so many valuables ranging from all kitchen appliances to  sentimental and personal belongings that can’t be replaced.

Any donations help with literally anything, from school uniforms to furniture. The support we have received so far hasn’t gone unnoticed and any donations to help get my family back on their feet will be appreciated.
