I'm attempting this race to raise money for the 7th Hong Kong Scout Group which I first joined when I was 7 and from which I now hold very fond memories of - as the organisation which truly nurtured my love for the outdoors and played no small part in helping me become who I am today.

wait what even is the 7th Hong Kong Scout Group?

The Hong Kong Scout Association develops young people of all backgrounds by providing them with tailored training programmes via things like community service/fundraising challenges, expeditions, outdoor survival, competitions etc.

The 7th HKG Scout Group which I've been a part of for 15 years is one of the oldest, most active and well-regarded in Hong Kong - it's an honor for me to do this race for the community to which I owe an immense debt (of gratitude).

ok fine but where is my money going?

The money will go straight to the 7th Hong Kong Scout Group (no embezzlement assured) to fund the maintenance of the group's >50 years old headquarters as well as to organise learning activities and opportunities for kids aged from 4 to 25.

So if you'd like to help some young folk nurture that hunger for adventure and exploration with 2 minutes of your time, any and all donations are very much appreciated, as are any questions/support - thanks so much!

Nick

P.S. If you're in Hong Kong and free during Dec 19 - 20 please do reach out! I may need some logistical support, but I assure you that you will be more than adequately compensated with a feast of epic proportions.
